All I want to do is convert avi to dvd format and than burn, help me please??? - 7.9.6.0 nero com serial

I need a program to have to do this, something rare video conversion, but its total garbage, and I have a demo version of Nero 7.9.6.0, but I do not know how to use it. All I want is something that is free, if not, what needs to be downloaded on Mininova (), with uTorrent. I want something easy to use, if a program that all they can do better thats. To make it easy for me, please help, I bought this DVD recorder, for a reason.
